Unity Memories
I
wanted to have a special part of the site dedicated to the
memories of where I am and where I am going in my healing
journey. This is also a place to share my past projects and
experiences with other participants of these projects.

Surviving The Truth
'Surviving
The Truth' was the very first Audio
Documentary I did for Survivors of Rape, Sexual Abuse and
Domestic Violence. Featuring the stories of 16 courageous women
survivors.
Together we journeyed in unity
to help break the silence and end the violence. Our message was
very strong and because we came from all over the world from
America, to Australia, Italy, United Kingdom, Canada, Virgin
Islands, we truly carved a path for other survivors who related
to our stories, poetry and thoughts. Though 'Surviving The
Truth' is no longer available, it's message helped hundreds of
people and helped guide us to create 'Voices of Strength', an
Audio Documentary featuring both female and male
survivors. 'Surviving The Truth' inspired many other men and
women to break their silence and will always hold a special
place in my heart as will the participants who joined me on it.

Happy Birthday RAINN 2002
Natasha and I held a special Happy Birthday RAINN Fundraiser
located at the California State Capital in 2002. It was amazing,
we bonded, we made RAINN displays, and we helped to raise $100
dollars for RAINN that day. We even baked cookies for a bake
sale!

Meeting Tori Amos

Tori
Amos has been an inspiration towards helping me break my
silence. On December 20, 2002 I had the incredible opportunity
to meet her at a private session at the W Hotel in San Francisco
where she played 4 songs for us and allowed everyone to meet
her. When I finally had my chance to speak with Tori, she
reached out to me with open arms and said "Hi what is your
name?"..I said "My name is Haullie, Hi Tori!" I handed her a
letter I had written to her before the show and I said "Tori, I
am a Survivor." I then told her about my advocacy and that her
music helped inspire me to reach out to other survivors. At this
moment I broke down crying...she then gave me two great big long
hugs, held my hands in hers and said "Thank you, We need more
people like you in this world." After taking a photo with three
other girls who were standing next to me and Tori, we all
cuddled for a moment and Tori said the funniest thing..."Oh!
This here is the love bunch!"
