Raise Your Hand

This is a project I initiated for ALL survivors, whether you're a survivor of Sexual Assault, Sexual Abuse, Rape, Domestic Violence, or Domestic Violence. It's called 'Raise Your Hand' and it was originally started for 'The Survivor Digest' which is a Zine I publish on VOS, however I decided to include the hands on a special place on this web site to honor these hands. The project entails tracing your hand and designing it around your survival and your hope for tomorrow. It is a project that is both empowering and self liberating. Those who have done their hand say that it was one of the most healing experiences they have ever gone through. The first edition of hands were colored in Black and white, but the remaining hands from here on out are in color of black and white, whichever the survivor has chosen.
